Red House School is a co-educational independent school in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, in the northeast of England.[3]
Nursery, Reception and Year 1 are located in a purpose-built unit, whilst Years 2 and 3 are in a Georgian Vicarage.[4] The Preparatory School and Senior School are in a manor house. [5]
Recently, Red House came 1st in the independent secondary school with no/small sixth form category in The Sunday Times Parent Power League Tables 2010.[6] A school’s place in the Sunday Times league tables is determined by the percentage of its students who achieve A and A* grades at GCSE, and A and B grades at A level.
The 2010 GCSE results saw 70.2% of Red House GCSE entries returning A* or A grades. Perhaps the real test of a premier school is the ability to achieve a consistently high ranking in the tables year by year, which Red House continues to achieve.
